Pure

Have you ever looked out across a field of fresh unbroken snow at sunrise. It glistens in beauty and is almost blinding due to brilliance of white light. I remember a snow storm that snowed us in when we lived out in the country. The images on that morning were breath taking.

Our lives start off that way at birth. We are innocent and without sin. However, since we are persons with fleshly desires and temptations we will ultimately make a bad decision. Something tramples through our pasture of purity and the image is marred. As we go along in life, if we do not repent, more and more paths are marked out across the field of purity and at places the ground begins to reveal itself (the true nature of man). Our wonderful brilliant image is now fading away.

But when we repent and desire to live a life in a Christian manner, we can be cleaned up…

“Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways. Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows. “Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.” Isaiah‬ ‭1:16-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

So God will send the wind of His Spirit and re-drift our landscape removing and remembrance of our failures from His sight. Our lives will be once again pristine in His sight shining in beauty and holiness.

Oh God thank you for salvation and Lord thank you for offering yourself up to be crucified. Thank you for sending us the comforting Spirit to guide and direct our lives as we pursue a life of holiness. I love you my triune Godhead and all of the different manifest characteristics the trinity reveals. Adoration and praises to you who sits upon the throne. Amen!
