The autumn colors are showing again. Leaves are beginning to fall to the ground. The annual circle of life is nearing its end. But underground the trees roots continue to thrive and expand as its energy is changed to dig deeper. That root system must expand and tap deep to withstand the harshness of the future winds and storms.
We who have been in the church for many years can be thought of as mighty oaks. We know what we believe and are steadfast in our faith and knowledge. Our hope is in Him and His grace.
However just as the mighty oak can be felled by a small bug, we to can be destroyed by the smallest of temptations and sin. The size of a sin does not matter in God’s eyes…they are all the same and carry the same weight. Let us therefore live a life in pursuit of Him focusing our eyes, thoughts, and purpose on holiness.
