To be without fear. What a powerful thought and concept. A person who is resolutely without fear.

When I consider the lack of fear I think about the military. I am sure members in the military get a few butterflies and nervous about going into the fray, but their training and comrades take them over the hump. Once involved the training kicks in and they perform their tasks.

First responders are similar to this. They run to the trouble to protect the populace. Firemen run into a burning building to save those who may be trapped. Lawmen handle crazy situations with who knows what in an attempt to protect lives and property.

Surgeons move swiftly in working on injured or sick persons to save them or improve life for the patient. Cutting, clamping, suturing, and even moving or replacing parts of a person in performing their task.

All of these people have a common thing in their lives that allow them to function. Training, without this learning experience in their lives they would have nothing to fall back on and give them confidence.

As Christians we must also have training to live out our walk without fear; boldly expressing our faith. The Bible mentions that we should meditate on the word “But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.” Psalms‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬, memorize the word “I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” Psalms‬ ‭119:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬, and walk in the word “Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found.” Psalms‬ ‭119:35‬ ‭NLT‬‬. This then can lead to the following revelation “What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?” Romans‬ ‭8:31‬ ‭NLT‬‬.

So let us stand strong in our faith by learning the word of the Lord and applying to our lives as the Spirit guides us in our study and meditation of it.
