An object or position attained through effort on our part. What is to be achieved in our lives?
To me, the ultimate achievement will be God’s holiness.
Without Holiness it is impossible to please God. It is the foundation of our life. We must strive for His holiness. If we might achieve some small portion of His holiness in our lives we would see everything as He does.
What then should we achieve? The holiness of God? I press forward to the mark of the high calling of God (be ye holy, for I am holy).
Oh Lord, help me today as I strive for your holiness. Show me what I must cast off and down to move closer to you. Guide my life into the path you have laid out for me. I thank you for all that you have done and do in my life. Praise you oh lord from the depths of my being. In you oh God I put my hope. Amen.
